Our Mission
Tsunagu (つなぐ) means “to connect” in Japanese. We built this app because we believe that love doesn’t care about borders, languages, or cultural backgrounds — but dating apps should care about making those connections easier.
Living in Japan as an international resident, or as a Japanese person curious about meeting people from other cultures, can feel isolating when it comes to dating. Existing apps aren’t designed for the unique dynamics of cross-cultural relationships in Japan.
What Makes Us Different
We’re not another generic dating app with a Japanese translation. Every feature in Tsunagu was designed from the ground up for the reality of dating across cultures in Japan.
Our built-in translation removes the awkwardness of language barriers in early conversations. Our matching considers cultural preferences and communication styles. Our Moments feed lets you share your daily life in Japan — far more revealing than a static profile. And our Social communities create low-pressure ways to meet people in real-world group settings.
