How to permanently remove your Tsunagu account and data

Before You Delete

We’re sorry to see you go. Before deleting your account, please note:

This action is permanent and cannot be undone

Deleting your account will permanently remove your profile, photos, matches, messages, Moments, and all associated data. You will not be able to recover any of this information.

  • If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings first.
  • Your profile will immediately disappear from other users’ match lists and conversations.
  • Any messages you sent will still be visible to the other user as “Deleted User.”

Option 1: Delete from the App

  1. Open the Tsunagu app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Profile tab (bottom right).
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon).
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm by entering your password or verifying with Face ID.
  6. Tap Permanently Delete to confirm.

Option 2: Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email. Send a request from the email address associated with your Tsunagu account to:

delete@tsunagudating.app

Include “Delete My Account” in the subject line. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 48 hours. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

What Happens to Your Data

  • Immediately deleted: Profile information, photos, matches, preferences, Moments, and location data.
  • Deleted within 30 days: Message history, analytics data, and server backups.
  • Retained as required by law: If your account was involved in a safety investigation or legal process, certain records may be retained as required by applicable law.

Cancel Your Subscription

Deleting your Tsunagu account does not cancel your App Store subscription. To avoid being charged:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Find Tsunagu and tap Cancel Subscription.
