Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Tsunagu application (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tsunagu. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Accounts belonging to users under 18 will be terminated immediately upon discovery.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use Tsunagu respectfully and lawfully. You must not:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any other user.
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or promotes violence.
• Upload sexually explicit or exploitative material of any kind.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation.
• Use the Service for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation.
• Attempt to circumvent safety features, content moderation, or rate limiting systems.
• Create multiple accounts or use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to interact with the Service.
• Distribute malware, spam, or phishing content.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.

5. Content You Post

You retain ownership of the content you post on Tsunagu (photos, messages, Moments, etc.). By posting content, you grant Tsunagu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. You may delete your content at any time, which will remove it from the Service (subject to reasonable backup retention periods).

All uploaded photos and content are subject to automated and manual moderation. Content that violates our community guidelines will be removed and may result in account suspension or termination.

6. Safety and Moderation

Tsunagu employs automated content moderation, including NSFW detection and hash-matching for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any content matching known CSAM databases will result in immediate permanent account suspension and reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and applicable law enforcement, as required by law.

Users who receive multiple content violations may be flagged for review or suspended. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion to maintain community safety.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Tsunagu offers optional premium subscriptions processed through Apple’s App Store. By purchasing a subscription:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Tsunagu name, logo, design, and all associated branding are the intellectual property of Tsunagu. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission. The Service’s underlying technology, including its code and infrastructure, is protected by intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Tsunagu is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not screen users for criminal backgrounds and cannot guarantee the conduct or identity of any user. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tsunagu and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tsunagu, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by visiting our Delete Account page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Tokyo, Japan.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
